Therapy With Room to Laugh, Play, and Heal
Because healing doesn't have to feel heavy. In the open air, with movement and connection, transformation becomes lighter—and liberating. We find space to meet your needs and empower your goals.
In today's digital world so much of life happens indoors and on screens. It's no wonder many people, especially children, feel restless or shut down in traditional therapy rooms. Outside, something shifts. There's more space to play, laugh, and feel fresh air on your skin. Nature gently supports the process, reminding us that healing can also feel light and freeing.
Heartfelt Outdoor Therapy started with the idea that healing deserves a dynamic space, one that expands beyond walls and embraces freedom and connection.
Being outdoors as part of therapy offers more than just a change of scenery. Here are some ways nature supports healing:
Enhances self-awareness and sparks insight
Builds emotional resilience through nature's rhythms
Encourages play and laughter that lighten heavy feelings
Restores attention and calms the nervous system

For children, it creates freedom to play and release big feelings in a safe, natural space. Teens find relief in being outside four walls, where it feels easier to open up and express themselves. Parents and adults often discover the lightness of setting down stress, grief, or overwhelm and reconnecting.
And beyond families, outdoor time is just as important in professional life. Many of us spend long hours at desks, behind screens, or under pressure. Heartfelt Outdoor Therapy also offers workplace workshops that explore the value of stepping outside—reminding teams how movement and fresh air can restore focus, ease stress, and spark creativity.
Whoever you are, nature offers the same invitation: to breathe, to belong, and to remember that healing doesn’t have to feel heavy.

Bringing warmth, movement, and nature into the healing process.
I’m Tanja Vasev, the founder of Heartfelt Outdoor Therapy. With over nine years’ experience across youth, family, trauma, and disability services, I blend evidence-based psychology with a playful, nature-based approach to healing.
I hold degrees in psychology and conservation biology and am completing my pathway to full psychologist registration. My training spans CBT, DBT, EMDR, Schema Therapy, trauma-focused practice, and creative modalities such as play and sand tray therapy.
Living with ADHD myself, I understand sensory needs, movement, and how environment shapes emotional regulation. I’m inspired by approaches that honour body awareness and nervous system regulation—principles that come alive outdoors.
My role is to offer a warm, grounded presence, helping people strengthen relationships, develop new skills, and reconnect with their inner lives.

Every session is held with care, creating an environment where children, teens, and adults feel safe to explore, play, and heal at their own pace.
This isn't about quick fixes. Outdoor therapy helps build tools and insights you can carry into everyday life: resilience, balance, and connection that continue long after the session ends.
Life is busy. Sessions are designed to fit naturally into daily routines, meeting you where you're at rather than adding more pressure.
